JHII COVID Task Force

Working with our partners on the ground, the Johns Hopkins India Institute COVID-19 Task Force (JHII CTF) was formed to raise awareness, respond to current needs, and coordinate activities, services, and opportunities to address the COVID-19 pandemic in. The JHII CTF is co-chaired by Dr. Amita Gupta and Dr. David Peters.

The JHII CTF is:

  • Utilizing the skills of JHU faculty, staff, students, and partners to organize COVID activities and communications in India prioritizing needs identified by our partners on the ground
  • Facilitating humanitarian assistance to India-based organizations
  • Using flexible teams and SOW to respond to changing conditions and priorities, as identified by our partners
  • Supporting evidence-informed and locally generated needs and priorities, ensuring that work that is already being done is not being replicated, and in consideration of impoverished and vulnerable groups
