The duration of each award will not exceed 24 months from the time funds are disbursed. To ensure accountability and alignment with program objectives, funded projects will be subject to periodic monitoring by GKII and Koita Center for Digital Health (Ashoka University & IIT Bombay). Applicants are expected to outline these timelines in the form of a Gantt Chart along with the overall project timelines in their proposals.
This will include:
- Quarterly check-ins (virtual or in-person) with program managers to review progress against milestones.
- Brief written updates (2–3 pages) highlighting achievements, challenges, budget utilization, and next steps at the following milestones-
- Interim progress reports at 6 & 12 months to both JHU and Koita Center for Digital Health (Ashoka University & IIT Bombay).
- Final report at 24 months summarizing scientific outcomes, publications, trainee engagement, and sustainability plans.
- Joint review meetings between JHU and Koita Center for Digital Health (Ashoka University & IIT Bombay) at midline and endline to provide feedback and guidance.
- Corrective support mechanisms, where needed, to help projects overcome barriers and remain on track.
- Documentation of capacity-building outcomes, including student training, mentorship, and exchange activities
Proposals that build upon existing or ongoing projects will receive preference, provided they demonstrate potential for scale-up and external funding.
