Why did you choose JHU, and what’s next for you? I chose Hopkins for 1) its incredibly intentional approach to medical/clinical service, 2) the breadth and depth of medical research available, and 3) the institutional support. In terms of what’s next, I am working towards becoming a practicing physician/matching into residency.

What skills are you learning at Hopkins that will be of value your whole life? I appreciate the School of Medicine’s attention to holistic, comprehensive patient-centric care at Hopkins, and hope to carry this through the rest of my career in serving the patients and communities around me.

What unique experiences or achievements have shaped your educational journey so far? I’ve really enjoyed working with a very diverse set of patient populations in my experiences as an EMT, clinical volunteer, etc. I’ve also been fortunate to leverage a multidisciplinary background in economics, economic consulting, and entrepreneurship/running a small business in thinking about how we can improve medicine/healthcare in a larger, systems-based way.

Are there any professors that have made a lasting impact on you? My advisor, Dr. Colleen Christmas, has been an incredibly helpful source of support and guidance throughout my time at Hopkins so far.
