Ira Pundeer
Senior Communications Expert

Ira Pundeer (she/they) is a strategic communicator and systems thinker working with inter-governmental and multilateral organizations on projects across the themes of public health, infectious diseases research, higher education, and scientific collaboration with a focus on India’s relationship with the world. At GKII, she leads communications strategy, community engagement, donor outreach, and impact reporting to strengthen the Institute’s visibility among academia, government, and philanthropy.
Previously, Ira worked with USAID/India Health partners – across the domains of global health, development finance, public-private sector engagement – on high-level communications and knowledge-sharing efforts, shaping narratives for policymakers and funders. She was also the India Communications Manager at Harvard’s Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute, where she worked with faculty and scholars to develop compelling stories and multimedia about the Institute’s programs, research projects, and events. She holds a master’ degree in English Literature from Hindu College, Delhi University.
