Dr. Venkat P. Gundareddy is an assistant professor of medicine at the Division of Hospital Medicine also known as Collaborative Inpatient Medicine Service (CIMS) Division, Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

He received his M.B.B.S degree from Deccan College of Medical Sciences, N.T.R University of Health Sciences, Hyderabad, India in 2004. He completed his residency training from St Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, NY. He received his M.P.H degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2015.

Academic interests focused around clinical operational excellence, quality & patient safety, utilization, innovations and leadership.

Dr. Gundareddy received numerous certifications in quality/patient safety through Armstrong Institute of Patient Safety and Quality at Johns Hopkins University and was actively involved in various quality improvement projects at the Bayview Campus.

Dr. Gundareddy served as the Director for Clinical Operations from 2015 through 2018. Since 2019 through June 2020 served as Assistant Director and currently serves as the Associate Director for the Division of Hospital Medicine, Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

He also works as a Physician Advisor for the Care Management Department of Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He is a board-certified diplomat for the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians.
