GKII Event Welcomes 140+ India-JHU Community Members
The Gupta-Klinsky India Institute was so excited to host more than 140 Johns Hopkins University students, alumni, faculty, and staff at Tamber’s Restaurant on Oct. 4! This was an excellent opportunity for us to welcome the incoming class of students from India, who were part of the Indian diaspora, or were just interested in learning about opportunities for students in India.
We also want to thank the many amazing alumni and faculty who participated in this event. We had several guest speakers attend who detailed the incredible work they’re doing now, as well as new GKII Executive Director Kunal Pal, and GKII faculty co-chairs Amita Gupta and Sara Bennett, who spoke about GKII’s dedication to India, the power of collaboration, and shared many opportunities for professional development and student mentorship.
Special thanks to all who made this event happened and everyone who was able to attend! We cannot wait for the next event and remain ready to create meaningful ties and opportunities for JHU’s Indian student diaspora.
