  • The GKII Final Grant Report requests various types of information, including:
    • Accomplishments
      • What were the major goals and objectives of the project?
      • What was accomplished under these goals?
      • What opportunities for training and professional development did the project provide?
      • How were the results disseminated to communities of interest?
      • What do you plan to do with the findings going forward to advance the project goals and objectives and/or your PhD research, or future research pursuits?
    • Products

Review Criteria 

  • Merit-Based Award: Candidates are evaluated on overall academic accomplishments, involvement in leadership roles and co-curricular activities, and contributions to the research project as future scientists.  
  • Research Quality: Research proposals are evaluated on the quality of research proposal and methodology, relevance to India, feasibility of timeframe and outcomes, budget alignment, strength of U.S.-India collaborations, long-term potential, and overall innovation and impact. 
    • Relevance to India Research and Scientific Potential 
    • Scientific Approach: Rigor and Technical Merit
    • Innovation: Novelty and Impact
    • Collaboration: Strength of Multidisciplinary Collaboration
    • Significance: Impact on Knowledge, Practice, Outcomes, or Policy
    • Viability: Feasibility of Project Completion Within a 12-Month Period
    • Sustainability: Likelihood the Project will Promote Continued Collaboration
    • Budget: Assessment of Budget Aligned to Project Activities and Award Funds
  • Completeness: Only fully completed applications will be considered.
