Aishwarya Vishwanath

Community

Aishwarya Vishwanath, an MPH candidate studying Health Systems and Policy at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health has done work with the USAID Saksham project and the Institute for Global Tobacco Control’s Ascend program.

Ishir Sharma

Community

Ishir Sharma is a junior at Johns Hopkins University majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Imaging & Medical Devices, and an incoming Master’s student at the Johns Hopkins Centre for Bioengineering Innovation & Design.

Vinay Goyal

Community

Vinay graduated from medical school in India in 2013 and returned to academics after a 10 year gap. “There is so much to learn from each one of the students here. Every student has a story to tell about their success, hardships, strong will and commitment.”

JHU-India Student Welcome Event

The Gupta-Klinsky India Institute hosted more than 140 Johns Hopkins University students, alumni, faculty, and staff at Tamber’s Restaurant to welcome the incoming class of students from India, who were part of the Indian diaspora, or were just interested in learning about opportunities for students in India. Yash is a mechanical engineer from Aurangabad, India, currently pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering Management at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering.

Community

As a Program Intern, Himalaya contributes to the advancement of women in STEM in India. This role involves working on a prestigious initiative in partnership with the U.S. Department of State U.S.-India Alliance for Women’s Economic Empowerment.
