The Center for Infectious Diseases in India (CIDI) is committed to improving health outcomes and ensuring equitable access to care among patients in India who have infectious diseases and related conditions. Their approach involves research, programmatic implementation, training and education, community-based outreach, and health-related policy solutions.

CIDI is housed in the Division of Infectious Diseases, in the Department of Medicine, at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, CIDI is also a Center of Excellence within the Gupta-Klinsky India Institute at Johns Hopkins University. The Center is established on a foundation of high impact, collaborative infectious disease research and education between Johns Hopkins and partnering Indian institutions that is decades long. The faculty and staff at CIDI focus on improving health outcomes and ensuring equitable access to care among patients in India who have infectious diseases and related conditions. Their approach involves research, programmatic implementation, training and education, community-based outreach, and health-related policy solutions. CIDI comprises a bilateral team with a base in Baltimore, MD with hubs in Chennai, Delhi, Pune, and other locations across 20 Indian states.
